Will your accent change in 15 years?
There is indeed a diverse range of accents here at Flyerzone HQ, with our team members hailing from Scotland to the West Country.
Languages are always evolving, and that includes local accents. A study by Paul Kerswill suggests that accents found in the West Midlands and the North East (including the famous Brummie and Geordie) are the fastest spreading in the country, while whole new accents such as âJafacianâ in Central London are emerging, and spreading beyond their immigrant routes.
Check out this infographic to see how accents are predicted to spread and disappear in England over the next 15 years.
