Business cards: easier to store than ever before
Business cards are one of the few formal exchanges that people make that still appear to be in fashion, though they can have their drawbacks. All you need to do is look through your wallet sometime to have a look at previous cards you’ve been given; how many are dirty, bent, ripped or smudged? If you’re one of many people coming into business cards on a daily basis, then there’s a better way to keep them handy – and it’s a tip you can share with people you hand yours out to.
Andrew Snavely, the editor of Primer Magazine – his self-styled “post-college guide to growing up” – said that while card cases are handy, they’re rarely carried with you when you are not at a business meeting, while the aforementioned problems with wallets mean that any stored in these are often “mangled from the heat and weight of being below you all the time”. Luckily, the easiest solution is something that everyone has on them at all times: their phone.
“Stash a few [business cards] on the inside of your phone case,” he said. “The phone keeps them flat, and the ink doesnât wear. You could buy a special phone case [â¦] that has a built-in storage area, but why spend more money? Iâve been testing this for a couple of months, and it not only maintains the condition of the cards, it’s saved me a few times already.”
