The Great Gatsby, World War Z launch new movie posters
If you’re a regular cinema-goer, then you’ve got plenty to look forward to in the coming months – particularly two highly-anticipated titles that could not be any different from one another if they tried. Still, this week, the pair had one thing in common: they released new posters to attract the attentions of film fans around the world.
The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and World War Z, featuring Brad Pitt, have ramped up the excitement surrounding their imminent releases with brand new prints detailing more about the adaptations of best-selling novels released over 80 years apart.
Following the release of six character posters for Baz Luhrmann’s reimagining of The Great Gatsby, Warner Bros revealed a one-sheet print featuring all six actors, adding a May 10th release date. Alongside DiCaprio on the Art Deco-style creation are Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt looks remarkably calm and relaxed, considering he is kneeling on an open entry door at the back of a helicopter while a city – most likely New York – burns below him. The zombie epic World War Z is loosely based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks, and is now slated for release on June 21st.
